When all of the dust settles there are really just two main components of Search Engine Optimization. That's right just 2. Simple right? Well...kind of.
Here's the first one: On Page. What in the holy hell is that? Simply put ,"On Page" are the factors you, as a website owner, control. There are many parts of On Page optimization. These include things like having good page titles, correct use of H tags, and of course writing the most amazing relevant content ever. I know right now you are saying, "But Rich, come on man! That's not enough information about the number of things that go into On Page optimization. Can you please write a more detailed blog post about that?" Hold on partner...that blog post is coming soon.
In the meantime let's talk about the second big component of SEO. That would be Off Page. What this really boils down to is links: links, links, more links, links from other sites to your website. Without becoming a "Link John" and paying for it...there aren't a lot of ways to get links back to your site. One quick, easy and free way is to post links from your social media back to your site. Of course you've already asked/begged any sites that might list your business to include a link back to you. Think chamber of commerces, professional associations, etc. here. Now if you are willing to get dirty, you can pay firms of questionable character some mucho dinero to build links for you. Expect to pay at least a couple of hundred $$ per month for these types of "services".
Stay tuned...that post about more On Page SEO factors that you've been begging for is in the works.
Thanks for wasting 5 minutes of your time with me.
